Camping for a Cure is a Relay for Life (RFL) of Second Life team. In the five years that we have participated in RFL, we have been one of the top fund raising teams. Relay for Life is an event to raise money for the American Cancer Society (ACS). 100% of the money raised goes toward the fight against cancer. RFL of Second Life has raised over 5 million USD for the ACS. 
Camping for a Cure runs a variety of events during the RFL season. Our largest event is Freedom Rock which typically takes place in March.  We also do a strides event in October called I Pink I Can. Live music is a big part of Camping for a Cure. The SL music community is a special one! They are very giving and generous. We have many clubs that join us in our fight against cancer by holding events and/or placing a RFL kiosk at their venue.
Not only do we raise money through our live music events, we also raise money through raffles, special vendor offers, and a yard sale. Camping for a Cure partners with some of the most popular vendors across the grid to offer special items not seen in their stores. Some vendors also donate gift cards to their stores that we will raffle off individually or special gift card packages. We also have artists that donate art to be raffled off at our events.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. We are always looking to add members in our fight against cancer. Are you wanting to learn more about Camping for a Cure?
